Condor Tower Car Park

with ololo (2009)

The Condor Tower Car Park Project was a massive collaboration with around a hundred artists from Perth and wider Australia to paint a five storey underground private car park in Perth’s CBD. Over 18 months, ololo spent every weekend traversing the levels facilitating artists young and old in leaving their mark on this showcase of WA street art.

The launch event was a one night only viewing which attracted over two thousand people through the gates. I couldn’t attend as I was visiting Copenhagen, but I managed to get Paul Bui to surrogate me in on his laptop via Skype, so I could sit on the couch and get drunk.

It was a heavy project to complete, but it was an insane amount of fun, and I met heaps of amazingly cool people. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

Stateline did a segment on the project.

The friendly Steve McCallum shot this video at the launch.
